READ THIS BEFORE USING THE SIMULATOR FOR THE FIRST TIME!
The RC4 is a powerful motion platform and should be operated as such. Please make sure to clear the area before turning it on and keep children and animals at a safe distance while in use.
The machine is much stronger than you, therefore do not try to force it or do maintenance on it while turned on. When the machine is on, and not in park mode, a Stay Clear rule should apply, this means no one enters its operating area and no stepping out.
Stay clear while power is on and parking mode is off!
The emergency button located on either the left or right is used to turn the platform on and off completely (Except for accessories). Additionally to the emergency button, there is a parking button on the CRB/PRO models. This button is used to park the platform, rendering it unable to move. Once parking is off the platform will re-callibrate and it can be used again.
While in use, depending on the settings used, the simulator can “crawl” on the floor. This can either be due to s slippery floor or aggressive settings. We recommend checking on the position regularly if VR is used to make sure that cables is not stretched. Please make sure the cables are long enough to prevent connectors being pulled out or damaged.
Please do not open or attempt to repair the simulator without consulting us beforehand. If the policy is violated warranty might be void and it can cause damage by electrical shock or broken/cut off limbs.
We have both electronic and physical safety measures on the platform that will prevent the system from overheating and malfunctioning.
Electronic power cutoff is built directly into the motor drivers, this prevents the system from getting too hot. The current will be limited if too much power or weight is applied on the platform and you will therefore see the motors slowing down.
Heat sensors are present in the RC4-CRB & CR4-PRO version to add an additional layer of safety. Heat sensors are placed in various locations around the platform to make sure everyhing runs cool. three main locations are; Motors, Motro Drivers and inside the cover.
To protect the whole system and your house, there is a 10amp fuse in the IEC panel (power socket) on the front panel.
For countries that uses G sockets (UK, south Africa etc.) there is a third fuse in the power cable.
The simulator works by lifting you with three actuators, in order to give you the best experience and distribute the load it is important you balance the simulator.
The center of balance should be in the center of the three actuators, meaning there should be no more or less weight at the front or back of the simulator. A perfect balance can be hard to achieve and is not necessary, but a relative balance will improve performance drastically. If multiple people with a big difference in height or weight distribution will be using the simulator, we recommend using the seat slider and the slider with hand knobs at the lower frame. For longer sessions with the same driver it is important to balance the platform properly to prevent actuator overheating.
If you use screens and other heavy gear with the platform it is very important to balance the platform properly. Failing in doing so, will result in a shutdown of the system or could potentially make it unstable due to the small size.
